Despite there being nothing extraordinary looking about my car some folks seem to know what it is as I drive up. That was my experience on Saturday when I pulled into the Jericho Center Country Store, which has been in continuous operation for over 200 years. A young man and and woman appearing to be in their early 20’s were seated in the back of a jeep with it’s top down and an older woman was in the passenger front seat.
When I exited the car the young man asked, “how long have you had the car?”, “a little less than a week,” I replied. He then began to ask about the car, how I liked it, how long it took to charge and its range. I couldn’t really tell where this conversation was going. An older man then appeared at the driver’s side having procured his goods at the store, clearly they were ready to head out. The young man then said, “Thanks for saving the environment.” And off they went.
